Since 2012, the Foundation has awarded over $230,000 for Pillager student scholarships even as we continue to build the endowment fund. In 2023 alone, the Pillager Education Foundation awarded $8,000 in scholarships to Pillager Seniors and administered an additional $20,000 dollars to Pillager Seniors on behalf of many local community sponsors. The Pillager Education Foundation is able to support our community sponsors and high school seniors by simplifying the scholarship process by offering a single application that applies to multiple scholarships. Past scholarships included by this single application: Crow Wing Power, Madden's Resort, Lakewood Health Systems, Bremer Bank, Lincoln / Scandia Valley Lions, Kavanaugh's Resort, Pepsi, Season's Adult Foster Care, Randall Building Supply, and Waste Management. Once all of the applications are received by the Pillager Education Foundation, the Scholarship Committee (made up of local parent, business, and school staff representatives) meets together to use the donor criteria to award scholarships on their behalf. The Pillager Education Foundation partners with the Initiative Foundation in Little Falls (ifound.org) for administrative support, fiscal accountability, and partner resources that benefit the the Foundation as well as those it serves. |
